China awards Dubai as a tourist destination

Dubai has presented the award “the most beautiful destination” by the Travel Channel in China after a jury composed of 100 senior Chinese journalists adopted the emirate for several destinations, including USA, France, Germany, UK and Singapore for the award presented to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the popular TV channel.

The award was received by Mr. Saleh Al Geziry, Director of Overseas Promotions and Inward Missions at the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) of the famous TV star China, Mr. Hong Jianhong, a gala ceremony held in Beijing on Jan. 8 and was attended among others by actress Lin Kong, Annie Wu, Yongli Wang Che and Liyun.

Mr. Khalid Bin Sulayem A, Director General of Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), expressed his happiness in the last survey of Dubai in the field of tourism and the hope that is provided in a pickle over Chinese tourists the emirate over the next añosmeses.

He said DTCM has three representative offices in China and has been a significant increase in the number of Chinese tourists to Dubai since the signing of Approved Destination Status (ADS) between the UAE and China in recent years.

There was a 41 percent increase in the number of Chinese customers in establishments Dubai Dubai hotel with the previous year. The number of tourism companies in China promote tourism in Dubai rose 33 percent in 2010, compared with 78 companies in 2009.

The Travel Channel Vision Award was instituted by the Travel Channel in association with the National Tourism Administration of China.

There were five categories for the awards program, including two for the most beautiful tourist destination and destination abroad country.Foreign more beautiful with conscience and good reputation in the market of China were eligible to apply for the award.

All qualified candidates have been reviewed by a team of 100 professionals from the China media key on the period of one month and winners are decided by voting. Destinations competing for the awards were Singapore, New Zealand, England, USA, Thailand, Germany, France and Australia.

The award ceremony will be broadcast live via the Travel Channel and many other popular online media in China.
China Travel Channel is the only satellite travel and lifestyle channel of television in China, with over 350 million viewers in major cities of the Republic.

Especially in the National Tourism Administration named national outstanding tourist cities, covered up 60.3 percent. The Travel Channel is the entertainment fashion favorite high-end customers in China. The hearing of the revenue size of the population younger, highly educated and higher has increased by 57.66 percent compared with the same period last year. The Travel Channel has the highest proportion of international brands.
