Boat Building Technology Improvement Institute Lanka (BTI), as organizers, supported by GTZ, planning to held the Boat Show Sri Lanka from the 8th to 10th of June 2008, promising to set sails for the horizons of an ever developing industry. Boat Show will attract all stake holders in the industry including the service providers. BTI will delight you by providing with an unmatched support from the state and rest of the commercial sectors to fulfill your needs and wants. 

Boats show Sri Lanka 2008, the most dignified exhibition that will make yet another mile stone in the history of Sri Lanka. It is going to be the ideal platform for new frontiers of leisure boating, marine, industrial vessels, service providers and related industries, to set up new ventures, improve the current operations, enhancing the business relationships etc. .

Awarding the best at Boat Show 2008

The Awards ceremony of Boat Show Sri Lanka 2008 was held at its grandeur on yesterday the10th June 2008 at the grand ball room of the Hotel Hilton. Dhanusha Marine Lanka (PVT) Ltd was awarded the trophy for the most innovative stall. Neil Fernando and company took the prestige of walking away with the trophy for the overall best stall while the 1st runner up for the overall best stall was awarded to A.J Fishing and the 2nd runner up for the overall best stall was awarded to Viksund model and design centre. All the other stalls were awarded a certification of participation.
All the stall holders were present at the awards ceremony along with media personnel from key media organizations to discuss the success of the Boat Show Sri Lanka 2008. The Key important event at the awards ceremony was the launch of the next year’s theme of Boat Show, which is “Conquered Waves, Towards Horizon” and announcing the next year’s exhibition dates. Mr.Bernhard Stricher, senior consultant, GTZ was the chief guest at the awards ceremony.

The Final Port of Call (10th June)

Boat Show Sri Lanka 2008 reaches its last port of call today (10th June) as today is the last day of the exhibition. At 10.30 A.M local time, chief guest Hon. Kumara Welgama, the Minister of Industrial Development along with the Deputy Minister of Aviation, Hon. Sarath Gunaratne as the guest of honor lighted the ceremonial oil lamp and opened the exhibition for the public. Our news team at the exhibition center learnt from the stall holders that their expectations are high today, as today is the last day of the exhibition.
